Charity Hop Shop

Turning pre-loved treasures into hope for children

The Charity Hop Shop was established in October 2016 to help generate much-needed funds for all the projects under Likhon iThemba.
At Likhon iThemba, we believe in working hard to sustain our projects and not relying entirely on sponsorships. The Hop Shop has been an incredible step forward — enabling us to continue supporting babies and children at HOLAH Baby House, while also helping us grow and launch new community initiatives.
We’ve received wonderful feedback from the community. People love donating their pre-loved treasures, knowing they’re giving back and making a difference — and shoppers love hunting for unique bargains while supporting a great cause!
We gladly accept donations of:
  • Women’s, men’s, and children’s clothing
  • Household items, furniture, and appliances
  • Sports equipment and toys
  • Linen, décor, and more - all in clean, good condition

Your donations are used in several ways:

  • Items needed at HOLAH Baby House and our Home for Special Needs Children are kept for direct use.
  • Certain items are shared with individuals and organisations in need.
  • The rest are sold at our Hop Shops to help raise vital funds for our projects.

Our flagship store is based in Waterfall, Durban, and we’re thrilled to have recently opened our second store, the Pop-Up Hop Shop in Botha’s Hill.
If you have large items or are unable to drop off donations, we offer collection services across Durban. Please WhatsApp Kim to arrange a collection.
